This year, 2012 Georgetown Festival was a little different compared to previous year. Several murals have been "popping" out around Heritage zone naming Mirrors Georgetown. It was a young artist from UK named Ernest Zacharevic. His photos and artwork covered half of my Facebook home page. Watching friends of mine posting (or sharing) lots of photos about this artist and his drawings made me yearn to hunt for the murals. Finally, I found someone to go with me. YAYYY!
The first site we went was Chew Jetty - one of the famous and the biggest jetty at Weld Quay. FYI, it is also one of the scene in the movie name Ice Kacang Puppy Love (初恋红豆冰).
Love this colourful wall! And our outfits are so mathcy :)
Was a little bit shy to post more because there are some uncles staring at you like a freak =.=
Friends posing
Me smiling happily with the sign boards :D
They've only 75 units of houses in Chew Jetty but they do have a saloon named Shereen Saloon. Do you wanna have a hair cut?
Although Chew Jetty has became a tourism spot, it's still a home to hundreds of people. The old lady in the photo is living the life most people want to live - carefree. We care too much about what others think of us, don't we?
Touch the tiang d money money come. Huat ah!
Here comes the drawing of Ernest Z.
Just a random photo of mor mor (means hairy) Angry Birds slipper.
Chew Jetty is a wonderful living heritage and an inspiring treasure without an entrance fee. It's good to pay a visit if you are in or plan to come to Penang.
