Delicious, Straits Quay

Before the world is going to end on 21st December 2012, I want to post something related to my family as well as some good food. Just got my ass back to Penang this afternoon and I'm feeling gooooood. Even if the world ends tomorrow (probably in a less than an hour time -.-), I know I'm at home with my family. If the whole 'the-end-of-the-world' thing is true, we can at least witness the historical moment together (and die together).

Btw, dad said he is going to buy some candlers tomorrow. lol. Our family is quite excited and anticipated for this. Deep down inside my heart, I kinda hope that it's true and I'd feel proud for getting a chance to experience the scenes in the movie 2012.

An Escape From Life

I went to Library, Straits Quay after having dinner at Daorae with Phoebe and Zhen. I know right, Daorae again. But I had the different types of food ma. So ok lo. 


Okay. I just released that caption "First time drinking beer" after I uploaded it on Flickr. I'm really lazy to edit it and upload it again. So ok la. Cincai la.  And.... It has been over 3 months since my last drink so it was still consider as my first time drinking beer on March! lol!

Happy hour time. Buy 1 get half free.  So we bought 2, 1 free half, another one free half = free 1. You get what I mean? Simple maths but poor explanation. That's why I told my mom I could never be a teacher cause I suck at explanation.

My Most Satisfying Chap Goh Meh

I love celebrating Chinese New Year, especially the preparation which starts a few weeks before  the actual day. I love listening to CNY songs, buying new clothes, making cookies and etc etc. CNY is al about family, friends, food and of course angpaos! I simply love CNY the way it seems to bring family together. Sadly, CNY has ended. How time flies when you're having fun! This CNY has definitely been one of the happiest one I ever had, with good food and great places (Eg, Langkawi) to go through out the festive season.

This is my first time attending Chap Goh Meh aka Chinese Valentine's Day celebration. As the Hokkien saying goes, "Dim gam, chui ho ang." which means, "Throw a madarin, marry a good husband." So, me and my friend, Weeslyn, both young and playful, came out with an idea: "We want to dim gam" since we never tried it before.

Hey peeps, its the 3rd day of 2012, how's ya doing? :) 

I'm doing... not so great.

Hmm...  So, on the last day of 2011, I went to Straits Quay to countdown for 2012 with my girls :)

Then... when we were walking around, we met this guy who called himself as a magician D:

He wanted one of us to choose a card randomly from the stack of poker cards that he was holding in his hands. 

Then Zhen chose this. Diamond 5, with Phoebe's signature on it.

Then he mixed every cards together, including the one Zhen had chosen. 

He wanted us to choose a way (not by using his hands like normal magician would do) for him to pick out the chosen card. 

Me "Use your nose lo." 

He "Nose is too hard"

Me "Ear then"

He "Cannot la, how to take the cards using ear"

Me "Ok la, mouth la"

Then... the most disgusting scene of the year happened! 

He put the whole stack of cards into his mouth...

I was like oh shit, wtf. 

Okay, my bad my bad. My fault, I know.

Finally the mysterious diamond 5 appeared in his mouth.

Ewwww. lol

It was my pleasure to enjoy a live magic trick in such a close distance, thank you young man. 

Every bar was full! We stood in high heels for almost 2 hours (banyak sakit lol) in order to get ourselves a table.
