Braille on the Beach

It was a charity / fund raising event organised by St. Nicholas Home (a non-profit organization serving the needs of visually disabled), along with Disted College, and supported by the Penang Island Municipal Council. I actually took part in the Braille sand-sculpturing competition which involves in making a Braille word in the form of dots by using sand on the beach and each dot is specified in sizes. The purpose of the game was to create greater public awareness on blindness and promote knowledge Braille in the context of fun and games at the beach to sighted people.

Shu Yon found this starfish when she was washing off the sand on her hands using the sea water.
It was still alive at that time!

They were entertaining the crowd with a rousing dance performance.
Actually the emcee asked ALL Disted students to get on the stage to perform the dance but many of us were quite shy la *blush blush* so... lol
