Kiyomizu Temple - World Heritage Site

Gosh. I'm really really really very very very lazy to update my blog. I have no determination! But... I've nothing to do right now, so, I'm here to update my trip to Japan, make it as a journal or a diary where I can ramble about food and share humorous stories about travelling. I just need some motivation to know whether there is anyone is reading my not-so-interesting blog D:

Having readers for your work is a big motivation, don't cha think so? And the comments! Sweet, some one is really cared to leave me so comments, thank you so much! I hope reading my blog is worth for your time though (at least enjoy looking at the photos) :D

Kiyomizu Temple was added to the list of UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1994. It is one of the oldest temples in Kyoto and famous for the veranda built on the cliff.

Let me show you the cool architecture concept of the temple.

Ema are votive plaques sold at the Shrine for people to write their wish on it then hang it on the ema stand, in hopes the shrine deity will grant their wish.

I don't understand why they put the white papers into the water. Maybe they are the bad fortune so they are left at the shrine.

Otowa Waterfall is the sacred water coming out from Otowa Mountain. It has three channels of water fall into a pond. Each stream's water is said to have a different benefit - to cause longevity, academic success, and a fortune in love life. However, drinking all three streams is considered greedy so we can only choose one to drink! I'll choose academic success. lol

And the queue is super long! Japanese really queue for hours to taste one drop of water.
Faith and belief, ahhh.

We met real geisha!

Fyi, Geisha is not prostitute, the word geisha means artist. they are traditional, female Japanese entertainer who perform classical music, arts, dance etc etc.

Geisha begin their study of music and dance when they were very young and continue it throughout their lives. Even the geisha is 80s or 90s years old, she is still expected to train everyday although she has more than 70 years of experience.

They do not engage in paid sex with clients.
